I entered a few of my photos in a local contest in the city where I live. Unfortunately, I didn’t win the contest, BUT I think I got the next best thing. They asked if they could use my photos in the local newspaper. Of course I said…YES!! December 1, 2013, I went to the local convenience store and there on the FRONT PAGE of the Coasting section was my photo “From The Heart”. On the back page was my photo “Ready To Go Fishin’”. I was in shock, to say the least, that my photo was on the front page and the winner of the contest, his photo was on the back, along with my other photo!! It’s a FIRST and hopefully not the last!!

My view of the fog on this morning at the 2nd Ave. Pier in Myrtle Beach, SC. This pier is 906 feet long...you really can't tell from this video with the thick dense fog.

DoubleTree by Hilton Myrtle Beach Ocean Front
March of 2016 I was contacted by an interior designer through my Redbubble portfolio. My favorite pier where my photography started was bought by Hilton. She was working on the conversion of the Springmaid Hotel in Myrtle Beach to a DoubleTree property with a new main building nder construction. She said, "My client came across your photography and loves your work." I was to say the least so very excited, thrilled and over the moon happy. It started out they wanted 10 of my photographs on canvas. Over the months of talking it went down to 5, they only thing I can think of why is their budget. I was shown a blueprint of where my photos would be. It was an exciting few months knowing my photos would be in the main restaurant of the hotel. I took my "Fab 5" photos to a printer in the area and there I was able to put MY signature on the them before they were made into canvas. In June the canvas' were done and by July they were hanging up in the new DoubleTree by Hilton, in the place where it all started for me. Here are my 5 photos on canvas hanging up in the hotel. I'm so very honored and it's still all surreal.
